Michigan is made of two peninsulas, surrounded by the largest fresh water lakes in the US. Known for its unforgettable beaches, National and State parks. The Great Lakes play a large role in the state from weather to the economy.

With such a major role in the presence of Michigan, I chose to focus on the lakes as a main element of my design. Utilizing the surface area of each of the lakes, I scaled bars to display the surface area of the lakes. Tilted 26 degrees, the bars also represent Michigan as the 26th state to join the United States of America.
